Noticed Kilara starting to post stuff on deviantart again and it made me wanna draw an avian. (It’s supposed to be super minimalistic Drej, but I had no reference!)
Thing I doodled last night to try and get back into drawing (since I haven’t in a few days). I was going to upload this a lot earlier but I got called in to work last minute. :’c

I’ve never really drawn females or clothed individuals, Decided to fix that!

Scraped the idea of the old design completely because let’s face it, furry things don’t represent me very well.
I’ve decided that a blue tongue skink would probably be a better choice for me. c: (She also has an alligator tail!) Her tongue is green though (and so is her flesh and blood.) I just adore those things to death. ;; How is it even possible not to love such a stubby lizard!
Her saliva is very thick and she can use it to draw on things (including herself) This is to give me more artistic freedom with her markings. c: Those of you who know me well enough know that Hoshi’s (Another character of mine) markings are rarely ever the same and the only real reason for that is that I love to get creative with his markings and I love to see what others do to them! Her saliva is also filled with bacteria. If bitten, it will have the same effect as a Komodo Dragon bite. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Komodo_dragon#Saliva)
Lastly, her body is much more similar to mine. I have a hard time thinking of myself as cute but for some reason when I draw it, it automatically becomes bearable?? I don’t know if this is just me or not but it does help me cope with it.
Personality-wise, I don’t think she’d behave like a skink at all. I feel like you’d find her basking with gators and being lazy on a shore somewhere if anything.
